Industry Minister: Car sales in Russia to rise by 5–6% in 2021

ABU DHABI, Nov 17 (PRIME) – Russia’s car sales will grow by 5–6% on the year in 2021, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Wednesday.

“We understood what will happen (with car sales), this is why when growth amounted to 40% and 30% and later a slowdown started, I understood that it will lead to smaller volumes as of the end of the year. That is why I maintain (the growth forecast) of 5–6%,” he said.

The country’s production of cars should rise by 10% in 2021, he added.
